This policy explains how MindSnap Studios ("we", "us") handles information in the Before You Sign app ("the App"). For general practices across our apps, see our general Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Content you submit for analysis
To analyze a document, you provide text, a photo, or a file (such as a PDF). This content — and the analysis generated from it — is processed to produce your result. Do not submit information you are not comfortable transmitting for automated processing.
1.2 Account information (only if you sign in)
Sign-in is optional. If you choose to sign in with Google to back up your history, we receive your Google account identifiers (such as your email address, display name, and a unique user ID) from Firebase Authentication.
1.3 Device, security, and usage data
We process device and diagnostic data, and an app-integrity token via Firebase App Check, to secure our service against abuse. Where ads are shown, advertising identifiers are processed as described below.
2. How your document is processed (AI)
Your document text or image is transmitted over an encrypted connection through our secure relay to Google's Gemini API, which performs the analysis and returns a result. Depending on the Google API tier in use, Google may process and temporarily retain data as described in Google's terms. We do not use your documents to train our own AI models. By using the analysis feature, you consent to this processing.
3. Where your history is stored
By default, your scan history is stored only on your device (a local database). If you sign in with Google, your history (contract titles, AI-generated summaries, risk assessments, and the associated document text) is also backed up to a private, per-account store in Google Cloud Firestore so you can restore it on other devices. Only your authenticated account can access it; it is never shared with other users. Sign out at any time to stop syncing.
4. Advertising and subscriptions
The free tier shows ads via Google AdMob. In the EEA/UK and other applicable regions, we show a Google-certified consent message before serving personalized ads, and you may choose non-personalized ads. The optional Pro subscription removes ads and unlocks features; it is purchased and managed through Google Play Billing, and we verify subscription status through Google Play. We never receive or store your full payment-card details.
5. Permissions
- Camera — used only when you choose to photograph a document. Files are accessed only when you deliberately select them.
- Internet — required to perform analysis and, if enabled, cloud backup.
6. Third-party services

7. Data retention & deletion
- On-device history: remains until you delete it in the app ("Clear All History") or uninstall.
- Cloud backup (if signed in): retained in your private store until you request deletion or delete your account data. To request deletion of cloud-backed data, email us at the address below; signing out stops further syncing.
- Documents sent for analysis: processed transiently by the AI provider and not stored by us as a separate copy beyond your history record.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, app-integrity verification (App Check), and per-account access controls for cloud data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
Our providers (Google) may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Children
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Your rights
Subject to your jurisdiction (India's DPDP Act 2023, the GDPR, and the CCPA/CPRA), you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data, and may withdraw consent. Email mr.mathurpratyush@gmail.com to exercise any right.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; the "Effective" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
