1. Acceptance
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and MindSnap Studios ("we", "us") governing your use of the Before You Sign app ("the App"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. Our Privacy Policy and general Terms also apply.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the App, because the App is intended to assist with your review of legal and contractual documents.
3. What the App is (and is not)
The App uses artificial intelligence to summarize documents, highlight clauses that may warrant attention, and suggest questions and negotiation ideas in plain, everyday language. It is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
4. No legal advice; no attorney–client relationship
MindSnap Studios is not a law firm, is not your lawyer, and does not practice law. The App does not provide legal, financial, tax, or professional advice, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship or any professional or fiduciary relationship. Nothing produced by the App is a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney who can consider your specific circumstances and jurisdiction. You should always consult a qualified lawyer before signing, relying on, or acting on any document or any output of the App.
5. AI output may be wrong or incomplete
AI-generated analysis can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading, and may misinterpret clauses, jurisdictions, or context. Laws differ by country, state, and over time. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any output. Risk scores, flagged clauses, "verdicts", questions, and negotiation drafts are suggestions only and must be independently verified with a professional.
6. Educational purpose only; your responsibility; our non-responsibility for use
The App is provided solely for educational and general informational purposes. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, including whether to sign, negotiate, or reject any document. You use the App and its output entirely at your own risk, and you agree not to rely on the App as your sole basis for any legal, financial, or contractual decision.
We bear no responsibility whatsoever for how you or any other person uses the App or its outputs — including any use for a purpose other than education, any misuse, any reliance on the analysis, and any act or omission taken on the basis of the App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk and all responsibility arising from your use of the App and its outputs.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINDSNAP STUDIOS AND ITS DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM (A) YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY OUTPUT, (B) ANY DOCUMENT YOU SIGNED OR DECLINED TO SIGN, OR (C) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 1,000 (OR USD 15). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MindSnap Studios and its developer from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your reliance on any output, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Subscriptions & billing
The App offers an optional auto-renewing "Pro" subscription sold through Google Play Billing. Price and billing cycle are shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your Google Play account. Billing and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms; except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Free-tier usage limits may apply.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to bypass usage limits or entitlement checks, reverse engineering, submitting unlawful content, or using the App to provide legal services to third parties.
12. Intellectual property
The App and its content are owned by MindSnap Studios or its licensors. You retain rights in the documents you submit; you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the analysis to you.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections 4–9 and 12 survive termination.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to applicable law, the courts of India will have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer-protection law grants non-waivable rights.
15. Changes; severability; entire agreement
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, the general Terms, and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the App.
